Campers no longer have to sacrifice small comforts for the great outdoors. Propane can fuel your camping stove, heat your tent, and provide an alternative to a wood fire. Propane's ease of portability, low cost, and cleaner burn are making propane-powered camping appliances popular. On your next propane delivery, order some extra propane. Here are several more uses for propane on your camping trip. 

Portable Water Heater and Shower 

If you really want to spoil yourself, a warm shower on a camping trip is a treat. Lightweight tanks or tankless systems are easy to pack in the camper van. Water temperature and pressure are adjustable. With a lower flow rate, you can enjoy a longer hot shower. A shower head or hose easily plug into the module. Some units provide the option to add a filtration system for drinking water.

Portable Coffeemaker

For coffee lovers, you do not have to start your day with an instant cup of java. You can enjoy your favorite fresh-brewed coffee every morning. Drip-brewed coffee is the perfect way to start the day. A propane tank can keep the coffee warm for hours. 

Portable Blender 

If you cannot go a full weekend without a green smoothie, take a propane-powered blender along on the trip. If you stumble upon a fresh strawberry patch or a farmer's market, you can delight your fellow campers with fruit smoothies and fresh soups.

Mosquito Trap

If you could only take one propane-powered device on your trip, a mosquito trap would be the choice of many campers. Pesky mosquitos can take the fun out of a trip. Mosquito traps imitate the heat, carbon dioxide, and water vapor of a human body to lure mosquitoes. They are generally safer than other mosquito repellents because they do not use insecticides. The trap should be placed somewhere where it cannot be knocked over. In tests, the traps have killed 1,400 mosquitoes in 48 hours. 

Remember to order some smaller tanks with your next propane gas delivery. You do not need to bring more propane then you'll need on your camping trip.
